Welcome to Honeydew Kisses Patterns! My name is Talia. I'm 33 years old, married to my husband for 11 years and have 3.5 kids. Amelie is 8, Oliver is 6, and Seraphina turns 5 next month. We aren't sure the gender of #4, but we'll find out in June!

I was raised in the Pacific Northwest, but moved to AZ about 3 years ago when I just couldn't take the grey, cold and snow anymore! We absolutely love it here! I am a WAHM and homeschool my kids. I like to cook, garden, bike, play outside, explore new places, design clothing, and play with pretty fabrics. I actually don't enjoy the act of sewing; I just like the rest of the process! My ultimate dream, however, is to sell off everything I own and just travel around the world and live in new places all the time.
I am the youngest of 7 kids, and was raised around sewing. My mom made everything of ours - clothing, stuffed animals...you name it! I first started sewing at around age 5, when I snuck into my mom's sewing room and sewed right through my thumb. I didn't do much after my elementary years (aside from home ec in 7th grade), but decided to make up a prom dress for my senior year. I went to the fabric store and bought a bunch of stuff and started sewing!
Fast forward to being married and having my first baby. I wanted all the cute bows and things that I couldn't necessarily afford, so I decided to start making them. I started out with tutus, headbands and bracelets, then gradually moved to soft-soled shoes, blankets, bibs, etc. I did that for a while under "Posh Princesses Baby Boutique," but revamped some things, including my name, a few years ago when my focus became clothing.
In 2012, my sister, Tasha [Noel], was doing her first quilt market for her first fabric line, "The Simple Life." She asked me if I would make a dress with her fabrics, and was trying to convince me to start selling my patterns. I had never even used a pattern of any sort for anything, so I had no idea where to even start. I didn't even know what a pattern looked like at that point! I finally agreed to make something for her. I designed a dress in about 2 days and flew off to Texas to help Tasha with her booth. After Quilt Market, it took me quite some time to learn all the programs, drafting, grading, but I finally released that dress as my first pattern, the Amelie Dress.
